Alaska’s current election system gives each of us the freedom to choose any candidate in primary and general elections. We cannot afford to curtail that liberty.
We should encourage Congress to promptly pass the PROVE IT Act so we can level the playing field for our cleaner producers.

If the fish habitat initiative becomes law, it will hinder and prevent Alyeska from obtaining permits needed to perform work crucial to the trans-Alaska oil pipeline's safe and reliable operations in a timely way.
The changes amount to far more than a new business arrangement for Alyeska.
