OPINION: As the Arctic continues to open up, large-scale change is inevitable. We must resist the temptation to apply outmoded ways of thinking as we are confronted with a world we can scarcely imagine.
OPINION: A vision for Alaska as a primary driver of Arctic growth can only happen if the state fosters the advancement of home-grown research and development activities. House Bill 118 would do just that.
Alaska, in many ways, is America's final economic frontier. And the best capital partners are those who will share their talents as well as their money. Anyone will invest their money for a quick buck.
The U.S., an Arctic nation whether its leaders recognize it or not, is at a critical juncture where it must decide if and how it wants to open up Alaska to development.
