Survival of higher education in Alaska now is by no means assured.

The evils of the continued existence of this zombie institution were made abundantly clear with the UA Strong campaign of the summer.

The assertion that the Board of Regents indicated it was just “exploring a shift” to single accreditation is nonsense.

OPINION: Far too much of the discussion about the schools that make up the University of Alaska today takes place with a true lack of understanding about what actually exists here and now.
