Since Alaska is continuing Hilcorp’s $100 million tax break, perhaps Hildebrand would consider making a relatively small donation of $480,000 to feed needy kids breakfast.
Current events in this country suggest we too are at risk from a religious right attempting to use our political process to impose their views and values.
Nutrition is not a matter of merely filling empty bellies, but rather educating about healthy eating and serving healthy food. From my own experience I know students will eat nutritious food if we offer it to them starting at a young age.
