Anchorage residents paused along Tudor Road Tuesday as a police procession carrying the body of Fairbanks police Sgt. Allen Brandt traveled from the State Medical Examiner office to a waiting plane to be returned home to Interior Alaska.
Brandt was shot in the line of duty on Oct. 16 and died Oct. 28 from complications of eye surgery he underwent following the shooting. Funeral services for Brandt will be held at the Carlson Center in Fairbanks on Sunday, Nov. 6.
