The Northwest Archers help a Learn to Shoot class at the archery range at Kincaid Park in Anchorage on Saturday. The archers hold the classes in the summer through the first Saturday in August and resume in the fall with the classes held in the wax bunker at Kincaid. The archers also sponsor competitions at the Kincaid Archery Range. When competitions are held the classes are not.

Bob Hallinen has been a photojournalist in Alaska since the 1980s and has traveled extensively all over the state. He retired from the ADN in November 2018 after 33 years at the newspaper.
