The Iron Dog, billed as the world's longest and toughest snowmobile race, got started Saturday in downtown Anchorage. This is the second year that the race held their ceremonial start in Anchorage.
The race officially gets under way Sunday in Big Lake. From there teams of two racers each will head to Nome, where they have a mandatory layover, before heading to the finish line in Fairbanks.
