Dimond Lynx defeat Bartlett in three sets to stay undefeated in volleyball

The Dimond Lynx won their third straight volleyball match of the season Tuesday by taking down previously undefeated Bartlett in three sets.

A balanced attack led the Lynx to a 25-19, 25-20, 25-20 victory. Larssen Anderson led the way with eight kills and two aces, and four others each had six kills — Kadyn Osborne, Jazzy Golly, Kimmie Roth and Lauren Sulte. Areanna Vreeland’s 17 sparked the defense, which got another 12 digs from Golly and 10 from Danielle Milo.

For Bartlett (2-1), Judith Utuga and Sinalynn Roberts each had eight kills, Zaysharae Malia-Hughes and Gabrielle Green each had 12 digs and setter Aspen Hooper had eight assists.

Dimond was coming off a 25-11, 25-12, 25-10 Friday sweep of Service that included an 11-kill, 3-ace night from Anderson.

In other Cook Inlet Conference volleyball action Tuesday, the East T-birds rallied from a narrow loss in the first set to defeat Eagle River 25-27, 25-18, 25-12, 25-22.

Precilla Fagafaga shined with 35 digs, 12 kills and four aces for the Thunderbirds. Tristhy Tulabot added 12 kills, Rachel Parungao had 12 digs and four aces, and Khadijah Morgan supplied eight kills and nine digs.
