Top-seeded South and second-seeded Dimond will host first-round matches in next week’s Cook Inlet Conference volleyball tournament.
The tournament begins Tuesday with four matches. After that, all of the action moves to Service High, where a champion will be crowned Saturday night.
Tuesday at South, fourth-seeded Bartlett (9-5) will play fifth-seeded West (5-9) at 5:30 p.m., followed by South (12-2) versus eighth-seeded Eagle River (2-12) at 8 p.m.
At Dimond, third-seeded East (10-4) meets sixth-seeded Chugiak at 5:30 p.m., with Dimond (11-3) playing seventh-seeded Service (3-11) at 8 p.m.
Loser-out matches are scheduled for Wednesday, with winners-bracket matched planned for Thursday. More matches are on tap Friday and Saturday.
The top three teams will represent the CIC at the Nov. 14-16 state tournament at the Alaska Airlines Center. Dimond is the defending state champion and the defending CIC champion.
