Chugiak running back Derryk Snell and West inside linebacker Javin Iloilo are the players of the year in Division I football.
The two earned the top awards in all-state balloting by the Alaska Football Coaches Association.
Other top Division I honors went to Bartlett's Thomas Sio, who was named lineman of the year, and Chugiak's Roger Spackman, who was named coach of the year.
Sio was one of six first-team players from the state champion Golden Bears, who beat West 40-33 Friday night for their first state crown since 2009.
Colony also boasted six first-team selections, Chugiak had five and East and state runner-up West each had four.
The Division II team was dominated by the state champion Soldotna Stars, who claimed their sixth straight state championship with a 21-0 win over Palmer earlier this month.
Player-of-the-year honors went to a pair of Stars — fullback Brenner Furlong and inside linebacker Wendell Tuisaula.
Palmer claimed two major awards. Lucas Santana was named lineman of the year and Rod Christiansen was named coach of the year.
Soldotna, which ran its winning streak to 59 games this season, grabbed 11 of the 25 first-team spots on the Divison II all-state team. Palmer, North Pole and Kenai Central had four apiece.
