Moose stomp the Wolves for Christiansen’s 150th career win

Palmer football coach Rod Christiansen tied the record for the most wins by an Alaska coach Saturday, getting his 150th career victory by guiding the Moose past the Wolves 35-8 in Eagle River.

Two touchdowns passes from Luke Guggenmos and big scoring runs from Larry Cutsforth (80 yards), Jared Oviok (72 yards) and Jeff Glynn (75 runs) fueled the Moose in the Northern Lights Conference game.

With the win, Christiansen tied the state record for career wins established by the late Buck Nystrom, who coached at Eielson and North Pole.
