An overtime goal from Jacob Cummings sparked West to a 7-6 win over Eagle River on Tuesday in a Cook Inlet Conference hockey thriller at Ben Boeke Arena.
The Wolves garnered third-period goals from Aiden Burton and Joshua Linn to tie the game and force overtime, but Cummings' third goal of the game early in the extra period was the difference for the Eagles.
Sullivan Mack added a goal and three assists for West.
Eagle River received a pair of goals from both Linn and Sutton McDonald.
Chugiak 3, Service 3, OT
Chugiak and Service skated to a 3-3 CIC hockey tie Tuesday at the McDonald Center.
The Mustangs fired more shots — 35 to the Cougar's 22 — but Service goalie Kevin Taunton shined with 32 saves.
Zach Plucinski led Chuigak with two goals and an assist.
Service's Tyler Millar tallied a goal and two assists.
