Tanner Barclay's first half rushing touchdown stood up for Houston, which earned a 7-6 nonconference football win Wednesday at Sitka.
The Hawks improved to 2-2, while Sitka fell to 1-3. Houston, which is playing as an independent this season, will remain in Southeast Alaska to play at 1-3 Thunder Mountain on Saturday in Juneau. Both Sitka and Thunder Mountain are members of the medium-schools Southeast Conference.
