The league-leading Mat-Su Miners racked the most first-team honors and a bounty of other awards, and Anchorage Bucs outfielder Steven Sensley took Player of the Year and Silver Slugger honors in All-Alaska Baseball League balloting unveiled Monday.
The Miners landed eight players on the 18-player first team, Miners manager Ben Taylor earned Coach of the Year, and the Miners also had the Top Hitting Prospect in Garrison Schwartz and the Top Pitching Prospect in left-hander Jordan Floyd.
ABL president Pete Christopher announced the honors, which were determined in a vote of league players, coaches and media.
Sensley hit .308 in 38 games overall, led the league in home runs (6) and slugging percentage (.531), and tied for first in extra base hits (16). The left-handed hitter from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette was second in the league in RBIs (27) and on-base-slugging percentage (.915). He also stole seven bases.

Floyd, from Kansas State, stymied hitters all summer. He went 1-1 with nine saves and a 0.41 earned-run average — he surrendered one earned run all summer — and struck out 25 in 22 innings.
Schwartz, a left-handed hitter from Grand Canyon, hit .283 with 12 extra-base hits and 20 RBIs in 42 games.
Bucs shortstop Alan Trejo of San Diego State made just four errors in 32 games and won the Gold Glove honor with a fielding percentage of .972.
Taylor, in his fourth season leading the Miners, guided them to a 25-17 record that earned Mat-Su the regular-season title.
The ABL playoffs begin Thursday, with four of the five teams playing — Chugiak-Eagle River has been eliminated from contention — and seeding yet to be determined.
