Description: The Alaska Club Summer Fun Camp is for children ages 5-12. Age-appropriate activities include daily sports, arts and crafts, outdoor play, swimming and more! Daycare assistance available at East and Fairbanks.

BIRCHWOOD CAMP
Location: Birchwood Camp is a year-round camp and retreat center in Chugiak, nestled between the Chugach Mountains and Cook Inlet just 30 minutes north of Anchorage.
Grades/Age: Grades 1-12 | Cost: $450-$1200; Payment plans and scholarships available
Description: Birchwood Camp’s mission is to build community on common ground. We strive to offer hospitality to all, and we open our doors to groups both religious and secular. Guests are invited to retreat to a place of tranquility, a place apart from the everyday world to experience renewal and inspiration.

EAGLE RIVER SOCCER ASSOCIATION

Description: Our soccer camp is for players wanting to improve their soccer skills, footwork and understanding of the game. This soccer camp is administered by United States Soccer Federation licensed and certified local coaches.

RECTENNIS SUMMER CAMPS
Location: West Anchorage High School, South Anchorage High School, Delaney Park, Anchorage; Chugiak High School, Chugiak; and Colony High School, Palmer
Grades/Age: Ages 5-17 | Cost: $150; Scholarships available!
Description: Our three-hour a day, weeklong camps are available June through August and are for juniors of all skill levels, ages 5-17! Participants will refine their tennis skills and also engage in enjoyable activities, fostering a lifelong love for the sport. Our well-rounded program combines expert instruction, 8:1 player/instructor ratios and a balanced mix of competition, camaraderie and fun! Scholarships available! All equipment is provided!

SUMMER ADVENTURE CAMP
Location: Tentatively Roger’s Park, Denali and Alpenglow, Anchorage and Eagle River
Grades/Age: Ages 6-12 | Cost: $375/week; accepts Child Care Assistance; scholarships available
Description: Discover fun! Camp Fire’s most flexible and accessible licensed program runs all day at three elementary schools: one in South Anchorage, one in Downtown Anchorage and one in Eagle River. Your child can join us for a week or the whole summer! Each day features a variety of hands-on activities including sports, arts and crafts, cooking, science and community involvement. Field trips, theme weeks, surprise guests and more are all included. If you want your child to get outside, learn new skills, make new friends, play hard and have quiet time, then this is the camp for you.

BAHA’I SUMMER CAMP
Location: Camp Gorsuch, 22700 Camp Gorsuch Road, Chugiak; Drop-off/Pick-up location, Anchorage Baha’i Center, 1207 E 74th Avenue, Anchorage
Grades/Age: Ages 11-19 | Cost: $200; need-based scholarships available
Description: A camp in nature for 30 youth who will gain skills and strengthen relationships that will assist them in contributing to the well-being of themselves and their home communities.
Time is balanced between:
- Healthy Recreation and Friendship-Building, e.g. swimming, hiking, team-building games, nature walking
- Creative Endeavors, e.g. painting, storytelling, drama, singing
- Spiritual Practices, meditation, personal prayer and reflection
- Skill-Building, e.g., meditation, yoga, outdoor recreation skills, personal financial management
- Facilitated Study of materials based on moral and spiritual concepts common to most faith traditions, and talk about how to navigate a complex world, resist negative forces in our lives and promote social progress.
If it is your first time attending one of our camps, we ask that you please attend one or two youth group gatherings ahead of the camp to initiate great relationships with other campers.
