A heavy snowfall kept the crowds light at the Fur Rondy Carnival in downtown Anchorage on Feb. 26, 2018, but Golden Wheel Amusements employees worked to keep the rides ready to go. The Anchorage Fur Rendezvous winter festival began in 1935 and is celebrated over 10 days with numerous events to help combat cabin fever.
