Introducing Puzzmo, a new generation of online puzzles

The Anchorage Daily News is teaming up with the online gaming platform Puzzmo to bring an array of refreshed, reinvented puzzles to ADN readers and expand on our current offerings.

We hope you enjoy these Puzzmo puzzles. Some offer a contemporary take on classic games; some are just fresh and habit-forming. They’ll supplement the other games at ADN.com, which are played by thousands of users each month.

Created by game developers Orta Therox and Zach Gage, Puzzmo was acquired by Hearst Newspapers in 2023 and has since launched in partnership with news organizations around North America.

ADN readers can play four Puzzmo games — Typeshift, Flipart, Really Bad Chess and SpellTower — here at ADN.com. New versions will update every day. Additional games, including Cross|word and Pile-up Poker, are available at the ADN portal at Puzzmo.com.

(For an annual $40 Puzzmo Plus subscription, users can create and compete on their own personal leaderboards, access past game archives and get an ad-free gaming experience.)
