Palin's $1.25 million retainer

According to the Anchorage Daily News's Alaska Politics blog, financial disclosure forms filed by Sarah Palin note that the publisher of her upcoming memoir, HarperCollins, paid Palin 1.25 million as "retainer for book." The forms don't mention the date of that payment, but the forms cover the final period of her time as governor, from Jan. 1 to July 26, 2009. Read more here.
