THOMAS ‘TOM’ R. GIBBONS, Republican from Glennallen
What in your background qualifies you to represent Alaskans in Congress?
I’m a longtime resident of Alaska. I have managed several small businesses. In my many years’ relations with the people of Alaska, I believe that I know what is most important to the people of Alaska.
Why are you running for U.S. Congress in Alaska?
I’m running for Congress so the working class people will have a voice in Congress, not just another rich, out-of-touch politician.
What would be your top priority if elected to Congress?
My top priority is to vote against the far-left agenda, and to reopen Alaska oil and gas.
What do you think should be done by the federal government to address mass shootings?
Address mental health.
Do you support gun control legislation? If so, what kind of measures would you support? If not, why not?
No, guns are a tool. The people that are not right in the head are the problem! “Oh, but it’s not their fault.” B.S. There have to be consequences for your actions.
