As Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race mushers stream toward the 1,000-mile race’s halfway mark, most settled into their mandatory 24-hour rests and ate, slept and adjusted equipment. Take a look at scenes from the village of Takotna and the ghost town of Ophir.
