Letter: Harris is my hero

Kamala Harris is my hero and my leader. She represents what it means to be a true American. She and the Democratic Party did everything right by running a positive, upbeat campaign.

Her opponent, however, hurled lies and insults against her gender, ethnicity and intelligence. The lower and more vicious the attacks, the more his supporters lapped them up and roared their approval, like bloodthirsty mobs at a Roman circus. His followers wanted a foul-mouthed bully as president so they could be foul-mouthed bullies too. The lesson learned from this election is that people love nastiness and abuse — the nastier and more abusive, the better.

Ms. Harris put her heart and soul into this election, and America abandoned her. Our nation is about to become a chamber of horrors. Donald Trump’s supporters think that they can dance with the devil and get away with it. They are now watching him destroy our government so he can rule America side-byside with his idol Vladimir Putin.

Russia and China are laughing themselves silly at America’s self-destruction. Donald Trump, with all the power in the world, is and will always be a loser. He despises America because he will never have what it takes to be a winner — the respect and admiration of honest, decent Americans.
