This election didn’t distinguish between opposing views so much as it distinguished between different realities: climate change vs. MAGA Republicans’ belief that it’s a hoax, the strength of the Biden economy vs. MAGA Republicans’ fiction that it’s weak, Russian aggression vs. U.S. aggression, rational public health leadership vs. conspiracy theories. But underneath this split reality are the same people. You, me, your neighbor, the guy that services your furnace, that delivers the mail, that fixes your car and plows your snow.
We all need to get together and work together, because the Earth faces serious and immediate problems far bigger and more challenging than divisive politics.
