Letter: Genocide

The brutality of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has been well documented, but the conviction of two Russian soldiers and their sentencing to life in prison by a Russian court for the murder of nine family members in occupied Ukraine gives some faint hope of at least a modicum of justice in this horrible conflict.

According to Democracy Now, 902 entire families have been wiped out by Israeli bombs, primarily supplied by the U.S. No one has been held accountable.

On the contrary, several U.S. congressmen have co-signed a letter to the International Criminal Court threatening sanctions against its members and their families if they proceed with charges against two Israeli leaders.

I can think of other times in history when my country has been too slow to act against genocide, but not since the colonization of the country has it been actively supporting genocide.
