Letters to the Editor

Letter: State of the union

I was born just before the end of World War II, in which the Allies defeated fascist countries. I was in the South in the mid-1960s and saw the racism there. I was in Argentina in 1980 and saw the dictatorship there. I caught a little of Donald Trump’s rally in New York. I have never seen the overt racism, fascism and hatred I saw there. Trump has turned his fire hose of hatred and lies on the country. The U.S. is at a turning point in our democracy; will it survive?
