Letter: Case dismissed

It’s hard to feel anything other than sickened after reading the “Case dismissed” story Sunday in the ADN. The roll call of dismissed misdemeanor cases never brought by Anchorage city prosecutors, including DUI cases, parents beating kids, animal cruelty and domestic violence is truly breathtaking in its number and scope.

And let’s not forget to add this to the long, very long list of complete failures of municipal government brought on by the election and governance of Dave Bronson and his inept band of Republican cronies. And to think the Republican Party used to identify as the “law and order” party? Can you say “epic fail?”

And lastly, here’s the scary part — close to 50% of Anchorage voters marked their ballots and were willing to bring that clown car back to administer municipal government for another three years. Any discussion about how Anchorage got to where it is today should probably begin there.
