Letter: Election turnabout

It is quite ironic that after all the recent praise of the ranked choice voting system by the Alaska Democrats, they wanted Alaska’s Supreme Court to disallow a Democrat as the fourth candidate on the U.S. House ballot. Their reason is that he is currently a convicted felon in jail.

Most everyone knows that the real reason the Alaska Democrats wanted Eric Hefner removed is because he may take votes away from the Democrats’ favorite candidate, Mary Peltola. When the Republicans complained about RCV’s ability to split the vote, the Democrats said that was hogwash. Now they know otherwise.
