Letter: Reappraising young offender sentences

It’s comforting to read that Alaska’s court system is following a national trend and reappraising stiff sentences for Winona Fletcher and other youths serving time under harsh sentencing guidelines from the 1980s and 1990s.

I’ll similarly be looking forward to coverage that Tom and Ann Faccio, as well as 75-year-old Faccio sister Emily Elliot, have been given reconsideration of the death sentences they received in their own home at the hands of Fletcher and her then-boyfriend.
