Letters to the Editor

Letter: Peas in a pod

According to Alaska Public Media’s reporting on July 17, Sens. Dan Sullivan and Lisa Murkowski are horrified by the behavior of former Alaska U.S. District Court judge Joshua Kindred. They say he sexually harassed law clerks, sent them vulgar messages, and repeatedly lied about his own conduct. Sounds like a real loser by any measure, doesn’t it?

Does such a description remind you of anyone else in the public eye — say, Donald Trump? At least Kindred had the decency to resign his position once his misdeeds became known to everyone. We can only hope that Trump will finally admit to his wayward misconduct and drop his campaign for the presidency, leaving the door open to almost anyone else.
