Between Milepost 3 and 3.5 on the Campbell Creek bike trail, someone has stripped three-foot sections of bark from approximately 30 birch trees within clear view of the trail. There may be more.
I would like to know 1) who did this; 2) on whose authority (the trail is maintained by the Municipality); 3) if it was part of a summer camp program, what instruction did the campers receive regarding sustainable harvest, proper technique and only taking what you actually need.
