Joe Biden accepted the terms of the debate, he was prepped, he knew what to expect and he utterly zombied out in the debate. Maybe he had a cold, maybe he was over-prepped, maybe voters don’t care, but it doesn’t matter. His performance does not bode well for the next four years if he were to be elected. The onset of old age can often be abrupt.
It doesn’t matter if he perks up at the next outing. He failed at a well-planned and prepared-for event. He needs to retire for the sake of American democracy.
