Letter: Ambler Road doesn't pencil

A sourdough knows that the AIDEA Red Dog Mine road was entirely privately funded and economical because of its proximity to tidewater.

Neither case applies to the Ambler mining road proposal. Large sums of public funding would be required for a private road that is nowhere near to tidewater and markets. All sourdoughs and cheechakos should be opposed to public funding for projects that are not in the public interest.
