If we’re going to be serious about our approach to environmentalism as the Anchorage Assembly poses, we’re going to need to take a serious look at switching from plastic bottles back to glass bottles. This will significantly reduce the amount of plastic that we waste (multiple studies showed that plastic recycling is essentially a scam). It will also reduce the amount of microplastics that we ingest in plastic bottled drinks.
If Anchorage is serious about our environment, we’ll switch to glass bottles. I hope that through our leadership in bringing about a change in materials, we can both help the environment and our health.
