Letters to the Editor

Letter: Commandments

I applaud Geoff Kennedy’s letter “Government overreach” in the June 27 paper. It has been hard not to keep wondering why the Louisiana public schools see fit to post the Old Testament 10 Commandments but not the two Jesus gave us. The two most important: Love God, love your neighbor as yourself. We have the “old” and the “new” testaments for a reason, Jesus. You know — Christianity.

Jesus also said “the meek will inherit the earth.” That means not the loud, lying, deceiving bullies.
