Letter: The new reality

Larry Persily’s commentary on June 13 rang true for me. Last month in a business staff meeting, during a discussion about advertising, I suggested a print ad in the ADN for our vocational school, Alaska Institute for Oriental Medicine, Acupuncture and Massage Therapy, and was loudly informed that only 70-year-olds read the paper.

I am 73 and this board member was 15 years younger than me. At that moment, I felt jolted into the reality of “the recognition of change.” Larry Persily’s commentary summed up the new reality for me.
