Another new surprise: “(Benjamin) Netanyahu earlier on Monday issued an ultimatum to the Biden administration about the (UN ceasefire) resolution, warning that he would call off the visit of Israeli delegates to Washington, D.C. if the U.S. did not veto the resolution, reported The Times of Israel.” America abstained on the latest vote.
Why is Netanyahu giving America “ultimatums”? Israel does, indeed, receive $3 billion from the U.S. annually, and has over the last decade, making it the largest cumulative recipient of U.S. foreign assistance since World War II, according to an August 2019 report by the Congressional Research Service.
Is this a preview for a new twist on campaign contributions? Meaning senators and House representatives can now issue ultimatums to their donors?
