As a 35-year member of this community, I urge a “yes” vote on the school bond. My three adult children are products of the Anchorage School District. They are successful adults making significant contributions to their families and their communities. Now my two grandchildren are enrolled in Anchorage schools.
I know from these personal experiences that safe schools are good for our community, are key to attracting working-age families to Anchorage, and are critically important to Alaska’s future. Because we all have a responsibility to keep our kids safe and ensure they have an adequate learning environment, I urge every voter to support kids from Chugiak to South Anchorage with a yes vote on the school bond.
