Letter: Don't rebuild Inlet View

To me, the Inlet View school rebuild vs. remodel argument is not about whether the Anchorage School District should or should not build schools. It is about how ASD has allocated funds that could, and should, be distributed to meet districtwide needs. Anchorage voters already voted down the 2022 school bond bloated by ASD’s Inlet View rebuild budget. Now, ASD is setting aside roughly $50 million that could be used elsewhere to fund an unnecessary build when a $24 million remodel is perfectly viable. By voting against Proposition 1, it would force ASD to save $22 million by remodeling Inlet View.
