I have been seeing a number of headlines regarding book banning here in Alaska. I would implore every school board debating this issue to watch the Academy Award-nominated short documentary “The ABCs of Book Banning” before making any decision on this subject. It’s a beautiful movie, now available free on YouTube.
Please think of the children, their young minds, and the opportunity for growth and knowledge they discover in our libraries. Fill the shelves with books, fill young minds with wisdom and knowledge, and fill their hearts with hope and inspiration.
