Letter: Don't veto the education bill

Being a governor is not a one-man show. The state House and Senate worked very hard to create a bipartisan plan to support education, finally, after all these years. While it’s not everything everyone wants, it does represent compromise, which is what government should be about.

But now Gov. Mike Dunleavy says it falls short of what he wants and threatens a veto. The governor should honor what a huge number of state senators and representatives hammered out together. This isn’t a one-man show, and what he wants isn’t what the entire state wants. Don’t veto the education bill.
