Unlike Joe Biden, Donald Trump continually trumpeted the stock market rise during his presidency. I do recall at the time of his first impeachment, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average hovering around 27,000, he stated that it would crash if he was impeached — it didn’t.
Before the 2020 election, with the Dow hovering around 29,000, he said If Biden won, then the stock market would crash. It didn’t, and after three-plus years of Biden’s presidency, the Dow has now exceeded 38,000.
Of course, Trump now claims that the current higher value is because the market is anticipating his election and is taking credit for it. Hmm.
