Letter: Support the child tax credit

Congress has made a move toward support of American children who now live in poverty. The Child Tax Credit had a significant impact on reducing childhood poverty, but it ended in 2022 and left about 5 million children in poverty. Many of those children live in Alaska. I hope that we will support this positive change and take the initiative by asking Sens. Lisa Murkowski and Dan Sullivan, as well as Rep. Mary Peltola, to support this program. Our future depends on how we support our youth, and the results can revolutionize our future.
