A recent letter to the editor tried to deflect blame away from the Republican Party for the chaos in the U.S. House of Representatives. The writer’s disconnection from reality would have been humorous if the situation were not so dire.
The Republican Party has been gradually drifting
toward the extremist place it now finds itself. When your philosophy is to hate the other side and to reject any form of compromise, well, this is what you get.
Here’s hoping that cooler, more moderate heads prevail.
