Letter: Lowering the bar

It seems as if Gov. Mike Dunleavy just keeps lowering the bar. This latest case in point is publicly supporting Donald Trump for U.S. president.

Recall that Trump is the guy who believes that only chumps pay taxes. He’s the man who instigated his followers’ attempt to overthrow the U.S. government rather than admit he lost the election. He’s the man with four indictments and 91 felony counts pending against him. The list continues. Dunleavy’s previous moves to try to bankrupt the ferry system, make the state of Alaska a toxic work environment, try to bankrupt the public education system, support any sort of development regardless of the environmental or social cost, install cronies instead of qualified people in influential state positions, etc., now all pale in comparison to this move to support a would-be autocrat for president.

Please, governor, do us all a favor and resign from office now.
