Letter: Easy upgrade for cyclist/pedestrian safety

If you get a chance, ride a bike over the East 36th Avenue bike-pedestrian overpass on Muldoon Road. It works extremely well, providing safe connectivity to existing routes for non-motorized traffic. Similarly designed access to existing overpasses and implementation of new overpasses in high use areas would be an easy fix to improve bicycle-pedestrian safety.

For example, building access ramps at the Lois Drive and Northern Lights-Benson Boulevard overpass would better connect neighborhoods. Constructing a new overpass on the Moose Loop Trail at Lake Otis Parkway and Campbell Creek Park would enhance travel on that popular bike route.

I hope local community councils will suggest overpass/enhancements to improve connectivity in their neighborhoods.
