Letter: R & D

Wouldn’t it be a bit more beneficial if, in the U.S. Congress (and some local municipalities, for that matter), R&D meant research of relevant history and data and development of solutions rather than rancor and duplicity? This is only a rhetorical question.

Of course, it would, but maybe that’s something that needs to start by (s)electing better people, and that’s on us.
