Letter: Save the Arctic Rec Center

The Arctic Rec Center is a hidden gem for public use in Anchorage. From Monday through Saturday, varied events are held there. There are two basketball courts, pickle ball, archery tag, karate classes, day care, a stage for special events, wedding receptions, Christmas bazaars, meeting rooms and a whole lot more. On Sunday, a church group meets there.

A large majority of people and businesses in the area do not want any form of “homeless” operation in the area. We want to keep the Arctic Rec Center just what it is: a neighborhood center to be used and enjoyed by many diverse groups.

Tell your Assembly member to keep their hands off the Arctic Rec Center.
