Letter: Demoralized

Anchorage residents are not experiencing “acceptance creep,” as Tim Benintendi postulated in his recent commentary.

We are experiencing what health care professionals experienced after COVID-19: “demoralization syndrome.”

This is way bigger than a response to bad snow removal. It derives from the affront to all residents from flat-out mayoral incompetence. It is daunting to find answers to the myriad dilemmas he has wreaked on the city. Snow plowing would be nice to have sometime before spring. In the end, that problem will melt, which perhaps moves it down the list some. This mayor has got to go because the continuing list of policy and administrative failures he has and will engage in will not melt.
