Alaskans made a terrible mistake electing Mary Peltola, a Democrat. You’d think we learned our lesson from electing Mark Begich.
While missing a key vote because she had to use the bathroom was a weak excuse, it’s forgivable. But voting to keep Rep. Ilhan Omar on the House Foreign Affairs Committee crossed the line and shows she’s nothing more than a liberal Washington, D.C., Democrat.
Omar’s record of making anti-American remarks is well documented. Peltola showed her total ignorance and lack of common sense on this issue by saying of Omar, “She has not done anything, in my opinion, that would warrant her removal.” Peltola embarrassed Alaska with her vote. Shame on her for siding with Democrats instead of doing what was right.
