Letter: Candidate name confusion

What’s in a name seems to be in the news of late and, with a proliferation of signs on the west side of town, I’ve been asked a couple times whether I’m running for the Anchorage Assembly. Others who’ve looked a little closer at said signs have asked if I’m related to the person running for the Assembly.

The answer to both questions is no, I’m not and I’m not. Best as I can recall, I’ve never met the candidate in question, so west-side voters would be well served to put aside whatever they know and/ or think of me when evaluating their choices.
