Thank you for the front page feature of Anchorage’s Battle of the Books recently, as well as the wonderful photos of third and fourth graders working in teams of four to figure out the answers to the questions on the books they had read. The expressions on their faces in conferring with each other showed serious effort, and then the joy of getting the answers right was celebrated together.
This story was a tribute to teachers and students alike, a good example of positive education in the Anchorage School District.
